District Volleyball

Message from Bill Stobie: "Please note that the next set of fixtures is next Sunday, 2nd November at Lasswade High School....

Can you also confirm that you will be playing in the league this year. We have had a disappointing start to the season, with Hornets being the only very organised team (well done, guys). The teams that say they have entered so far are: NUVOC 90, Jets, Hornets and Peebles.

NUVOC 07 (a junior team with some NL players) have shown some interest, but so far have not been able to commit. Peebles High School have also shown some interest but can't commit. I wondered what you think about making a space for an 'All Stars' team which would be made up of a mix of these players and any other subs from

other teams to give us five teams for each league fixture. This would mean that we would be able to play two games at a time and have referees, thus making the league run more smoothly. The results of the 'All Stars' fixtures would count as friendlies, with no league points being awarded.

Let me know what you think. Also, please confirm that you will be sending a team next Sunday.
