Entries are now being invited to take part in this season's Scottish Cup competitions, from teams playing in other leagues, or those which missed the May deadline to participate in the qualifying rounds of the Scottish Cup.
The SVA organises three national cup competitions each season, and there are vacancies in the Scottish Plate for mens and womens teams. The Scottish Plate is the competition for the teams which fail to make it through the qualifying rounds of the Cup proper, and would be suitable for teams in the Junior National League, University League or any good-quality District League.
The Scottish Plate is a knockout competition, so as long as you keep winning, you stay in the draw for the next round. Opening matches are scheduled for 6th December, and entry is £10 per team. The finals weekend in April is always one of the big days in the Scottish volleyball calendar, so to take your chance to be part of the day, don't delay and get your entry in now! The closing date for entries is 21st November.
More details can be obtained by contacting the SVA office.
