hit the beach it's too hard I want to play   the tour schedule entry pack

Message from the President

The Scottish Beach Volleyball scene has something for everyone from chilled out recreational 4-a-side (you know the scene - bbq, ice cream, kids building sandcastles etc.) to the competitive Division One 2-a-side competitions, where players compete for the prestigious ‘Scottish Beach Volleyball Tour Champion’  title.

If you haven’t played beach volleyball before, then think of how fit you will be by the end of the summer, and how high you will be jumping when you come off the sand and hit the indoor season running!

See you on the sand!

Colin Paterson - President Beach Commission
Scottish Volleyball Association

Hit the Beach

So, the indoor season's left you in pieces. Knees still a wee bit sore? Back playing tricks on you? Shoulders a little grizzly? Awh diddums. Get down to the beach, play a couple of games on the sand and you'll be right as rain...
Yep. The beach season is with us once again and you're all invited. No seriously, there's enough room for everyone and if you're really lucky there might even be a couple of buckets and spades to keep the big kids happy.

It's too hard!

beach volleyball

Don't be such a light weight. For those who have played on sand you'll know that it's not tough at all. You can do all the things that you do indoors outdoors. It's easy peasy.
Jumping is easy and doesn't hurt your knees. Serving's a doddle. Digging the ball doesn't hurt because the ball is softer. And you don't have to worry about who's ball it is cos it's nearly always yours.....
See, it's not hard at all and it will do you the world of good if you're wanting to increase your jump.

I want to play...

beach volleyballNow that we've convinced you that beach volleyball is for you let's look at getting you onto the sand... This years Scottish Tour is the biggest yet. Ten, yep ten weekends of guaranteed Scottish sunshine from the 17th May until the 16th August and the great thing is that these sunny days are scheduled to coincide with each of our tour dates - fantastic.
Beach Volleyball in Scotland has something for everyone: recreational 4v4 to the highly acclaimed Division One 2-a-side competitions; prizes; trophies; bbq's; ice cream; sandcastles; gazebos; and above all a truly great atmosphere where just being there is all part of the fun.
