Junior coach, Bill Stobie, has said he's looking forward to getting back to grass roots volleyball. Recently re-training as a teacher he's been very busy for the past few years establishing himself in his new career while enjoying being involved in raising his young family.

Two years ago he coached the Pentland NUVOC first team men for a year and though he enjoyed the experience, he also found it frustrating due to the limited time he could devote. "When I coached first division 10 years ago, I spent 18 hours a week coaching and travelling for training and matches. I expected that commitment from myself and the team. When I returned two years ago, my time available was less than 3 hours for training and I struggled to make more than a third of weekend games, so I didn't feel I could give enough to the team, and I found that very frustrating. It was unfair to the team and also unfair to myself, so I gave it up. Now, however, I'm looking forward to working with the youngsters as the training time will be just the right amount. It will be fun!"

Hopefully after a few weeks the youngsters will have got to know enough about the game that they can enter the local under-11 tournaments.
